Maybe all the attention and resources poured into "online safety" should also go to offline solutions. Second, it seems to fit all the templates of not to do in case of bullying. I see no mention of the recognition of the danger of bullying, or the need to prevent bullying in the future. Plus, the reported “solution” implies that bullying is something normal, something that kids do. Or that it is somewhat "normal" to bully those who are different (e. g. have red hair or wear glasses). Yes, bullying is something that happens in every school. But I think a good solution is not just for the bully to apologise and the case closed. Schools should know how to deal with it, how to name it, how to work with all kids (not just with victims and perpetrators), how to educate kids about the wrongs of bullying, and refuse to tolerate it.
